'If you could boil down just about every daydream you've ever had about French provincial life,
it would end up looking like this'

"in the vrai sud" is steeped in history, being one of the grandest houses in the village. It stayed in the same family for four generations before we bought it in 2003. It's full of character and filled with a golden light that will transport you to holiday-mode the moment you step inside.

Enjoy the views from the full-length balcony then relax in the impressive lounge with its comfy furniture and restored architectural features. Or eat in the enormous dining-room after cooking in the modern, well-equipped "cheffy" kitchen (we're real foodies!).

Come night-fall, there are two really comfortable, spacious and stylish double bedrooms and a huge twin room that can either be set up for two adults in twin beds or for four children in a bunk-room set-up - the choice is yours. All the beds will be made up ready for your arrival with crisp cotton bedlinen.

There's a family bathroom with double basins and a huge double-ended bath and stacks of bath sheets together with a shower room and separate loo.

Outside there's a private walled garden with eating and lounging areas, together with your own pool to cool down. There's plenty of space for relaxing and catching some rays - even the winter sun here can be unbelievably warm.

The house which is centrally-heated is perfect for winter as well as summer visits and can comfortably sleep up to 8.

A holiday "in the vrai sud" will introduce you to or re-acquaint you with a France you thought had disappeared decades ago.
